I have a Worried Monster in my office that I made out of a Kleenex box and cardboard. I painted it to make him look fun, friendly and a little silly. When my clients come in my office they can put their worries on paper and feed it to the Worry Monster.
One of my clients took this to an all new level and wanted to make one for home. He named it the “All Feelings Monster” so that it can eat all his feelings and he can share his feelings with it.
Helping clients to share about their feelings in fun and exciting ways helps them to get their feelings out and begin to share with others. They also are able to realize that getting these feelings out can help them feel better and know that they are not alone in dealing with their feelings.
